Pastry and Tarts

This class is also taken from Amore e-bake. One things for sure is the pastry is really really good. Those who try the pastry said that it was really nice. And its super easy to make it. Let me share the ingredients and the secret to it.

Ingredients for the pastry tart.

A.
  • 125gm Butter (Room temperature but not too soft)
  • 125gm Icing Sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 90gm Eggs
  • 520gm rose flour/medium protein flour
  • 3Tbsp milk powder
  • some ground almond powder (to enhance the flavour of the pastry), optional


Method.
  1. Cream together the butter, icing sugar and vanilla essence until combined and add in the slightly beaten eggs. Mix until evenly combined.
  2. Add in the flour, milk powder and almond powder and blend in with your fingers until crumble like texture. No need to knead until a smooth dough.
  3. Take some of the dough and pinch into tarts mould. Cut off the excess with spatula or knife.
  4. Bake the tarts shell in a preheated oven at 180'C for about 15-20mins for fully baked shells or 10 mins (lightly brown, half baked) if want to add in filling that need to be bake.
